Die Französin Justine Triet hat eine Schwäche für einen bestimmten Typus von Frauencharakteren: stark, modern und kurz vorm Nervenzusammenbruch. Genüsslich inszeniert sie mit Virginie Efira das Gefühlschaos einer Psychotherapeutin, die sich auf der Suche nach Romanstoff viel zu weit in das Liebesleben einer labilen Jungschauspielerin hineinziehen lässt: Sie folgt ihr ans Filmset auf Stromboli, wo sie sich zwischen Fiktion, fremden Konflikten und eigenen Verletzungen vollends verirrt. Ein tragikomisches Psychogramm, das mit trockenem Humor zwischen den Meta-Ebenen springt.
Annett ScheffelLe film n’est pas très long – cent minutes – et pourtant Justine Triet trouve le temps de faire bondir son héroïne dans le temps et dans l’espace, assemblant ces fragments en un édifice aussi complexe qu’un labyrinthe et pourtant presque familier – la représentation cinématographique d’un esprit féminin voué à la fiction.
